If you are using Microsoft Outlook Express to collect you email, this should help you get started.
In the instructions below, replace yourdomain.com with your real domain name.
- Open Outlook Express
- From the top menu, click "Tools", followed by "Accounts..."
- On the accounts dialog, click "Add", followed by "Mail..."
- On the next dialog, enter your name and click "Next >"
- On the next dialog, enter the email address you want to use for sending email. Note that this can be different from the email address you use to receive email.Click "Next >"
- Set the incoming server type to POP3. Set the "Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, HTTP) server" to mail.yourdomain.com. Ensure that the "Use SSL" box is checked.
- We recommend that you use your ISPs SMTP server for sending email - consult your ISP for the outgoing mail server details. If you want to use the Z-Host server for sending email, enter "mail.yourdomain.com" into the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server" setting. There is no need to enable authentication if you are using a Z-Host server to send email. Click "Next >"
- Under "Account name" enter the email address of the POP3 account to receive from. Under "Password" enter the POP3 password you used when you created the POP3 mailbox. Click "Next >"
- Click "Finish".
